This is a demo for a boilerplate website offered at a discount to makerspaces intended as a starter site, developed in open source WordPress. Includes training and hosting options.
About Us
I want to offer my experience, my streamlined process, and my services to the maker community. I have come up with a starter kit for makerspaces and for maker projects. I work closely with your team, get everything setup ready to replace "lorem ipsum" content with your actual content, and then I train you on how to do everything yourself. I love to teach folks how to fish.
Our Space & Tools
This makerspace uses Apache, MariaDB or other databases that are comparable, WordPress, and my own hosting on BlueHost. I also offer "roll-your-own" hosting, where I will help you take it live to your own hosting.
Our Community
Man, it is just me sitting here trying to figure out how to get by while offering something substantive and valuable back to the maker community. It's just me right now. But I also have my maker network to tap into. As I add clients, we'll have neat-o collaborative learning days via Zoom to help each other out.
Our Needs
I need more clients. $2.5k to get started and includes the A-Z process, imagine this page but more comprehensive and with compelling visual elements. And then secondary pages to match. For 501(c)3 nonprofits, I need $1.5k - I give a $1k discount to nonprofits. I need collaborative clients, clients interested in opening up test sites to their members to fiddle with WordPress and make their own modifications, I need friends in the maker community to lean onto to adjust this business model as it makes sense; I need help. I'm trying to put food on the table but I only want to do it with integrity and I would prefer giving back to the maker community somehow to make it all happen.
